How it works
- Enter graded category scores and course weights, or choose total points.
- Mark unfinished categories as not graded; they are not counted as zero.
- Calculate the average of the graded work and review how much course weight it covers.
Example
Homework is 90% at 30% of the course and tests are 80% at 20%. The average across those graded weights is 86%; the remaining 50% is not included yet.
Frequently asked questions
Does a blank or ungraded score count as zero?
No. Mark work that has not been graded yet as ungraded. It stays out of the average, and its course weight remains visible as ungraded.
Can I enter points instead of category percentages?
Yes. In total-points mode, the calculator divides all earned points by all possible points in the graded rows. For example, 45 points out of 50 is 90%.
Does this apply my school’s grading rules or convert to a letter grade?
No. It uses the percentages, points, and weights you enter. It does not look up a school’s rules, apply curves or extra credit, or calculate a GPA.
